I purchased a 2005 Crown Victoria LX Sport in March of 06. The vehicle had 82 miles on the odometer. In the past I have owned many full sized Fords, Mercurys and Chevrolets. This one is the best of the bunch! The LX Sport has the beefed up engine and suspension and holds the road like a sports car. We recently completed a road trip of over 1700 miles and averaged over 25 mpg. Driving around town Im averaging 21. Not bad for a big car.

Bought this loaded LX (leather, dual power seats, climate control, etc.) in June 04 for $10,000 off sticker price of almost $30,000. For performance, comfort, safety and quality, this car is hard to beat. My wife loves it. Gets solid 25 mpg on highway and almost 16 around town.

This automobile is without a doubt the best overall vehicle I have ever owned within this class. It has looks, performance and serviceability like none other on the market. It is great in the economy category too. I just came off of a trip that I exceeded 26.5 miles per gallon on for the second or third time in two months. This with a V-8 that runs like nothing I have ever owned before or since the Sixties anyway. It has been a long time coming but I do not see how anyone can buy a smaller car in this price range with a V-6. You get less space, less performance and less economy. The comfort is beyond belief and this vehicle is absolutely fun to drive.

Love this car. Just did a 5000 mile trip, no problems. Love the smooth shift of the transmission. Good power. With the floor shift it is very easy to downshift to use the engine for braking. CD/am/fm/cassete player sound options. Auto-Set option on AM/FM Radio is nice on long trips. (Tunes in 6 strongest stations automatically)

CAR RIDES AND HANDLES VERY WELL, SOME WIND NOISE AROUND WINDOWS BUT NOT ANNOYING ENOUGH TO WORRY ABOUT. DARK COLOR HARD TO KEEP CLEAN. INTERIOR COULD BE UPDATED.

  • Buy it! - 2005 Ford Crown Victoria

I bought this at about 76k miles, I now have almost 83k. It is all black and leather interior, just about all the extras you can add. I drove this from Austin, Texas to Pennsylvania. It was a 1600 miles trip and the car was fully packed, back seat included. I still got 24-25 mpg. City driving is about 18 but for a V8 and how heavy the car is, not bad at all. I love it and wouldnt sell it at all. Great power and actually a head turner, probably cause they think I am undercover ;). People do move out of the way on the highway though. I do plan on adding some extras like intake and exhaust etc for even more of a muscle car.

Great ride, plenty of power, plenty of room, 22mpg town driving, 25+ highway (actually got 26.2 once!). Nothing fancy about this car but it does what is was designed for. This is a fabulous road cruiser. No wonder the police departments love them!

  • Crown Vic - Good and not so Good. - 2005 Ford Crown Victoria

All good - still have slight rattle in drivers door but I can live with it. This is my 3rd Crown Vic. I would of bought a Lincoln (which I also have owned, 3) but the price was right for the Vic. The dealer told me that after 2006 there would be no more Crown Vics made. Then why a 2007?

I bought this car about a year ago from a family friend. It only had 18000 miles on it. She wanted a new crown victoria, she wanted a different color LOL. She gave me a great deal on the car. I love everything about this car, the exterior looks very nice, just enough chrome. Also love the keyless entry pad, dont ever have to worry about locking my keys in the car. This car is so comfortable, and has alot of power. I find myself speeding all the time. The quality and reliability is awesome also. Havent had any problems. My sister has a 01 crown vic, hers had 130000 miles. She hasnt had any problems either. I am sad they are discontinuing these cars

I love the Ford Crown Victoria. It is roomy and rides smoothly. My car gets 25.5 mpg on highway. It has great power and is easy to drive. It is red and has a great paint finish. This sedan gives you more for your money than any other car on the road. It is safe and has plenty of room to put suitcases etc. The best car Ive driven in 35 years.
